May 14, 2011 update...

The party returned home from Igor Hunchbackerson's with a semi-conscious Dahlia Hunchbackerson bound in rope. The party kept her overnight and when the morning came, they were again woken by a knock at the door.

Melvyn Aday had returned for the book. He admonished the party for not finding out the reason for the book's theft, nor the true culprit's behind it. However, he still paid them for the return of the book.

He also told them the pipe fitter's guild was having a problem they would be able to help with.

The party then left to meet with Lenny Kibosh, head of the pipe fitter's guild.

The guild headquarters was opulent. Gold leaf and marble columns filled the palatial offices. The party was led to Lenny's office where they were seated to discuss the guild's problems.

Over the last month three guild member's had gone missing in a certain area of the sewers. One disappeared a month ago and it wasn't seen as a major incident, but there were two more disappearances two days in a row. The disappearances were near the sewer lines leading from the mage's guild.

The guild was getting anxious because they were having trouble with their plumbing.

The party agreed and set off to a convenient sewer entrance.

There were six sewer workers standing about 50 feet from an open line looking nervously at it. One of them walked over to about 10 feet from the hold, turned around and returned to the crowd.

The party approached them and asked them if they were working on the sewer, and they replied with a pointed statement about whether the heroes thought they weren't working. They were on break they replied and because the party was asking them about business, they now had to start their break over.

Finding them particularly unhelpful, the party approached the hole and heard some loud noises from below. Fayden and Morthos entered the hole to see a Wilden fighting a group of sodden ghouls. The party fought them, and while the party was engaged, a massive gelatinous cube engulfed Cael from behind.

The party managed to defeat them and Lupa the Wilden, her wolf Randy met the party. She had been tracking a mysterious illness that had been infecting her people to the city of Forsteby's water and was hoping to find the source and a cure.

Learning she could heal, the party quickly accepted her as one of their own.

Traveling toward to mage's guild, the party heard some kind of noise coming from the walls. It was certainly loud, and almost rhythmic.

Fayden saw something in the sewage, but it quickly disappeared. Not really sure what to make of it, they tried to find the source of the noise.

A wraith appeared and spoke to them in elven. It said to leave this place now because, "some things should be kept secret."

Not really knowing what to make of that, and being who they were, the party attacked the wraith.

It died suddenly from a bolt of Fayden's lightning. Moments later, a minster made from rotting entrails burst through the wall and attacked. A ghoul emerged from the hold in the wall with more wraiths floating through the wall. The party fought poor footing, a mass of undead, and ultimately a reaper to discover a chamber under the mage's guild that was slowly filling up with a cement-like substance.
